GRACE FOUNDATION - PRESCHOOL

Presenting a strong foundation year before entering Grade R.  This ECD programme reinforces colour, shape  and number concepts and introduces phonics. 

Young learners thrive on this programme which incorporates the six  Early Learning Development Areas of: 

• Well-being 
• Identity and belonging 
• Communication 
• Exploring mathematics 
• Creativity 
• Knowledge and understanding of the world   

This Preschool (Reading Readiness) programme complements the ABCs Learning-to-Read programme. There are 12 colour PACEs in each of the core subjects – Word Building, Math, English, Social Studies and Science.  

Preschool also includes the Speaking English with Ace and Christi programme which provides the means for young school-going children who do not speak English as their first language to become sufficiently acquainted with spoken English to prepare them for learning to read and speak the English language.    

This programme provides lessons for aural and oral language development which include: 

• English language for everyday listening and speaking which will allow children to function in daily activities and routine. 
• English vocabulary necessary for children to succeed in the ABCs with Ace and Christi Learning-to-Read programme in English and in Word Building. 
• English communication structures which allow children to verbally express their questions, statements, needs and ideas in English. 
• English language skills necessary for children to progress through Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) Math, English, Social Studies and Science.
